Dual Band Quads

This video is one from my youTube channel and shows visually what the results will be should you add or remove a balun form an LFA Yagi, in this case a 432MHz one.

There are many myths in Ham radio and in particular antennas. One being that a balun is not needed on a Yagi with a folded dipole, LFA loop or coaxial Yagi. This video shows a simulation of both scenarios within Ansys HFSS. the support team of the regional Ansys representatives in Europe and Ansys USA were involved in the original building of this mode to confirm all is correct, even down to coaxi cable velocity factor. It makes for some really interesting viewing.
