I am thinking about releasing some LFA-Q designs for self-build. Currently these are only available from InnovAntenas but although they may look quite difficult to build, really they are not.
The advantage of the full wave length elements is a little higher gain that would be normally associated with standard dipole fed Yagis. For example, this 6.5m long 6el at M0SIX has a gain figure of 12.5dBi.
The LFA-Q is (as always) a 50Ohm direct feed Yagi and has twin booms to make it nice and rigid.
